Ladies and gentlemen, we have finally arrived in Switzerland!!! We are still waiting on the word as far as our schedule readjustment, but we are happy to be here!
Gruyere has great fondue locations as well. Traditional fondue is not the melting pot - just cheese and bread (you could order boiled potatoes with it, but I recommend not). Enjoy and o cannot wait to hear about your trip. Oh and if Lausanne, go to the Olympic Museum in Ouchey.
If you have a spare day, I highly recommend Gruyere for a cheese and chocolate day. Broc (a neighboring town) has the Nestles and Calaliere chocolate factory - so yummy and free samples. Like you won't eat American chocolate again. (Ps- Swiss chocolate molds if not eaten soon-so once you see white stuff, it's bad). Then go to Gruyere for fondue.
