When in Geneva.... A Traveler's Tuesday

Wow... What an epic, busy day! We got up and tried extremely hard to fight the jet lag. We headed to the UN for a tour first thing, then ate an amazing lunch full of some fun (and goofy) memories at the UN cafeteria before moving on to our afternoon information sessions. We spent time at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)  office and at United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) this afternoon. Two amazing opportunities. We definitely had some really great talks! A few pictures below!

After this exhausting day, our weary group went to our formal "Welcome to Switzerland!" Dinner. Man, was it a dinner... 4 courses- salad, coq au vin, a yummy eggnog-type custard and sponge cake-type dessert, and lastly, espresso and chocolate. It. Was. Incredible.

After we were stuffed to the gills, we headed out, back toward our hotel. As any normal college group though, we took the necessary side trip to a local playground complete with Merry-go-rounds, a pirate ship, and life-size Checkers and chess games. It was an epic end to a great day.

Some of the group retired for the evening, but we snapped a quick shot of the MC Resident Assistants on the trip having some RA bonding while another group of us went out and explored Olde Towne

Have a great night, everyone! Signing off from Geneva,
