Jenny and I wanted to give you all some details on where we're headed while abroad! The excitement is real as we pull together the last minute details in preparation for our trip-
less than 2 weeks!
Below is our finalized itinerary:
Day 1- Saturday, March 14 - Travel Day
2:30pm Flight to D.C.- UAL #3385 from Knoxville, USA
5:30pm Flight to Geneva- UAL #974 from Washington DC, USA
Day 2- Sunday, March 15 - Red Cross Museum
6am Arrival in Geneva
8am Check in at Hôtel de Genève in Geneva
Free Time in Geneva and at the hotel until later in the afternoon when we go to the International Red Cross Museum and a Welcome Dinner
Day 3- Monday, March 16 - World Health Organization
9am Tour of the World Health Organization (WHO)
Free afternoon to explore Geneva
Day 4- Tuesday, March 17 - United Nations
10am Tour of Palais des Nations, United Nations Office at Geneva
2pm Information session on the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)
4pm Information session on the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
Free afternoon in Geneva
Day 5- Wednesday, March 18 - United Nations
10am United Nations information session on the World Food Program (WFP)
2pm Information session on the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)
Day 8- Saturday, March 21 - Mt. Titlis
9am Walk to the valley station of Mt. Titlis and ride the Titlis Rotair cable cars up to the top (10,000 feet!)
Spend the day in the Alps!
Day 9- Sunday, March 22 - Travel Day
4am (Sadly, not a typo) Load the bus and head to the Zurich Airport
9am Flight to Newark- UAL #993 from Zurich, Switzerland
7pm Flight to Knoxville- UAL #4361 from Newark, USA
11pm We're home!
